Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples
Populations I serve
Adults dealing with anxiety and depression
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes unbearable, it can manifest in our bodies, our thoughts and behaviors, and can leave us “stuck” in fearing about a future negative outcome. I help patients learn about the core anxieties and find ways to regain a sense of safety.
Survivors of Trauma
A traumatic response can occur as a result of a single traumatic event, or a series of events that threaten our sense of safety and integrity. Through talk therapy, patients can gradually regain the feeling of autonomy and psychical freedom, internal strength and continuity, trust in themselves and other people.
Immigrants or first gen struggling with cultural identity issues and systemic oppression
I help immigrants and first gen individuals navigate the complexities of acculturation, dynamics of privilege and oppression and mourning the losses that occur in the process of relocating to a new country.
LGBTQI and non-traditional relationships and lifestyles
I help patients navigate their intersectional identities, honoring all forms of gender expression and lifestyles that are considered “non-traditional” such as kink practices and non-monogamy. I strive to create a safe space for LGBTQ individuals to explore their sexual and gender expression and ways to live more consistently with their true selves.
